Who this is for
Professional+ workspaces. Gmail is available in Chat today. Slack shows as Coming soon in the mode rail.
Before you start
A Professional+ plan for your workspace.
Permission to open Chat from the sidebar.
A Google account you can authorize with OAuth.
Steps
Open Chat from the sidebar.
Select Gmail from the mode rail on the left.
Browse folders: Inbox, Starred, Snoozed, Scheduled, Drafts, Sent, All mail, Spam, and Trash.
Compose, reply, and apply labels from the Gmail panel.
Use the sync icon to refresh threads after sending or receiving mail elsewhere.
To connect an account: open Inbox settings from Chat, then the Inboxes tab in the feature settings hub.
Under Email inboxes, connect Gmail with OAuth. Click Sync now on an account card.
Use Share on an account to grant teammates access without sharing passwords.
What you should see
Gmail threads appear in Chat. Replies send from your connected account. Shared teammates can read mail you grant access to.
Troubleshooting
Gmail is not in the mode rail Confirm Professional+ plan and that an admin has not disabled Chat inbox features.
OAuth connection failed Retry connect from Feature settings hub → Inboxes. Confirm pop-ups are allowed and the Google account has mail access.
Threads are stale Click Sync now on the account card or the sync icon in the Gmail panel.

Is Slack supported?
Slack appears as Coming soon in Chat. Gmail is the connected inbox available today.
Do contacts sync from Gmail?
Threads link to contact profiles when emails match. Create or open contacts from the Contacts area.
Can I connect multiple Gmail accounts?
Yes. Each account appears as a card under Email inboxes. Share access per account as needed.
