September 2026 focused on tighter KPI and dashboard governance, richer calendar meetings, smarter scheduling buffers, and clearer team chat alerts - so admins control who sees performance data and members respond to meetings without leaving email.
KPIs and dashboards
KPI access settings - workspace admins choose who can view KPIs (viewers and above, editors and admins, admins only, or invite only) from KPIs & Dashboards → Settings → KPIs.
Hidden categories - hide KPI categories from base roles while custom roles in Teams can still grant Read.
Dashboard access - separate controls for live dashboard visibility and the default sharing mode for new dashboards.
Access overlays - members without permission see a clear overlay instead of restricted KPI or dashboard data.
Calendar and meetings
Meeting RSVP - branded invitation emails with Accept, Decline, and Tentative links; respond from email or the calendar meeting preview.
Custom recurrence - full custom repeat rules when creating or editing workspace meetings.
Attendee picker - add workspace members and external emails from one picker when scheduling.
Schedule buffers - optional minutes after meetings and between auto-scheduled tasks, shown as blocks on the week calendar.
Team chat and notifications
Per-conversation notifications - set All messages, Mentions only, or Muted on each channel or DM.
Notification deep links - tapping a chat alert opens the matching channel, DM, or thread.
Live presence in DMs - see when teammates are online, away, or showing a custom status in direct messages.
Leave and AI
Tenure bonus and pro-rata - admins can award extra allowance after configured years of service and pro-rate mid-year joiners.
{{aiName}} automations context - {{aiName}} can name and describe active workspace automations from live data.
Suggested follow-ups - tap suggested prompts after {{aiName}} replies to continue faster in chat and voice mode.
Fixed
Personal tasks in {{aiName}} - my tasks answers stay accurate in high-volume workspaces.
Workspace settings billing - saving workspace settings no longer incorrectly locks admins out of billing.
