Saved views keep your filters, layout, and column choices so you and your team can return to the same setup. Save privately or share a view with the whole workspace.
Who this is for
Workspace members who can edit tasks. Admins can protect shared views and set workspace defaults.
Before you start
A task list or folder open in Tasks.
Permission to edit tasks in that location.
Steps
Open Tasks, pick a list or folder, and adjust filters, grouping, sort, and columns with Customize view.
Click Save for a private view or Save for everyone to share with the workspace.
When several layouts changed, choose This view or save all affected layouts together.
Right-click or long-press a view tab for Rename, Duplicate view, Duplicate to…, Pin, Set as default, Make private, Make shared, or Protect view.
Use Copy link to view to share a deep link. Choose Save as template or Browse templates… to reuse a layout elsewhere.
What you should see
A new or updated tab appears with your settings. Private views show an eye-off icon (Only you). Protected views show a lock icon. Success toasts confirm View saved or View saved for everyone. Pinned views stay at the front of the tab bar.
Troubleshooting
Save for everyone is missing You may lack editor rights in this workspace, or the view is already shared. Try Save for a private copy first.
This view is protected appears when I edit An admin or the view owner locked the shared view. Duplicate it to make your own editable copy.
My teammate cannot see my view Confirm you clicked Save for everyone, not Save. Private views stay visible only to you until you Make shared.
Common questions
What does Protect view do?
It stops others from editing a shared view. The tab shows a lock icon. Editors without rights see This view is protected.
Can I set a default view for a list?
Yes. Right-click the view tab and choose Set as default. That view opens first for everyone in that location.
How do templates differ from saved views?
Save as template stores a reusable layout. Browse templates… or the Templates submenu lets you add it to this list or other lists and folders.
