Live dashboards and reporting

Business+Live dashboards turn strategy into visible progress for leadership reviews. Build views from workspace KPI and OKR data, then share read-only links with stakeholders where enabled. Workspace admins control who can open dashboards and how new dashboards are shared by default.

Who this is for

Leaders and operators on Business+ plans with permission to open KPIs & Dashboards and Live Dashboards. Workspace admins configure dashboard access.

Key concepts

  • KPIs & Dashboards is the home for defining metrics, targets, and roll-ups. Live Dashboards is a separate view for shareable performance layouts.

  • Open Live Dashboards from the KPIs & Dashboards page or the Dashboards tab directly.

  • Dashboard tiles pull from live workspace data. Refresh happens as KPIs and OKRs update.

  • Parent KPIs can aggregate child KPIs. Mixed units are blocked when roll-up math would be misleading.

  • Public or share links are read-only. Editors manage layout and tile configuration inside the workspace.

  • Workspace admins set dashboard access under KPIs & Dashboards ÔåÆ Settings ÔåÆ Dashboards: viewers and above, editors and admins, admins only, or invite only.

  • New dashboard share default controls whether freshly created dashboards start private (invite only) or workspace-wide view.

  • Members without access see an overlay on restricted dashboard sections instead of the underlying data.

  • Share a read-only link with board members before a quarterly review.

  • Link KPIs to key results so objective progress updates automatically.

  • Set dashboard access to editors and admins when leadership dashboards should not appear for all viewers.

Why is Live Dashboards not in the sidebar?

Open it from KPIs & Dashboards. The Dashboards tab lists your live dashboard views.

What plan do I need?

Live Dashboards requires Business+ and page permission for KPIs & Dashboards.

How is this different from KPI Dashboards help?

KPI Dashboards covers creating metrics, roll-ups, and KPI access. This article covers shareable dashboard views and dashboard access settings.

Can custom roles override dashboard access?

Yes. Base-role dashboard access sets the default. Custom roles in Teams can grant Dashboard Read for specific members.
