Import your workspace

Use import to copy work into Elevale once. Elevale then becomes the source of truth. This is not a live sync with ClickUp, Monday, or any other tool, and it is separate from Workspace integrations.

Who this is for

Workspace admins for full workspace import. Editors can use CSV import from Tasks for spreadsheet uploads.

Before you start

  • Admin access for app-based imports.

  • Export files or API tokens from your source tool when required.

  • A list of boards, lists, pages, or conversations to include.

Steps

  1. Open Tasks and open Import your workspace from the workspace menu.

  2. Choose Import from local files (Spreadsheet, OKRs and KPIs, Document) or Import from apps.

  3. Pick a source: ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, Notion, Jira Cloud, Trello, Confluence, Slack, and more.

  4. Connect or upload your export, then select boards, lists, pages, or conversations to include.

  5. Choose what to import: Tasks, Docs, Strategy, or Chat.

  6. Review options and consent checkboxes, then click Start import.

  7. Keep the window open while chunks import. Review results and invite unmatched owners if prompted.

What you should see

Imported tasks, wiki pages, OKRs, KPIs, or chat history appear in the matching areas. Unmatched owners can be invited or reassigned after import.

Troubleshooting

  • Import your workspace is missing Only workspace admins can run a full workspace import. Editors can still use CSV import from Tasks.

  • Connector sign-in failed Confirm API tokens or OAuth access for the source app. Some connectors accept CSV exports when live connect is unavailable.

  • Assignees did not map Invite missing owners from Team Management, then reassign tasks from the import results screen.

Common questions

Does import keep syncing with my old tool?

No. Import is a one-time copy. Use Workspace integrations for ongoing connections where supported.

What data is imported for tasks?

Titles, statuses, assignees, dates, comments, attachments, and custom fields where mappable.

Can I import OKRs and KPIs?

Yes. Use dedicated strategy imports or spreadsheet templates from the import wizard.
