Business+Automations run when something happens in your workspace, then notify chat, update a task, or start {{aiName}}. Create When/Then rules from the feature settings hub or the Automations button on Tasks.
Who this is for
Business+ workspaces. Notify a channel needs Business+ chat. Start {{aiName}} loop needs AI chat on your plan.
Before you start
Permission to open Automations in the feature settings hub or on Tasks.
Target lists or channels already exist for your actions.
Steps
Open the Feature settings hub → Automations, or click Automations on Tasks.
Click Add automation. Name the rule and choose a Trigger.
Set Applies to: Specific lists or Whole workspace.
Add optional Only when conditions (up to two) to narrow when the rule runs.
Pick one or more Actions and configure each.
Click Create to save.
Filter by list, status, trigger, or action. Toggle active/inactive from the list.
Review run history on the Activity tab.
What you should see
Matching events run the configured actions. History shows each run. Duplicated rules can be copied from row actions.
Troubleshooting
Notify a channel is unavailable Confirm your workspace is on Business+ with Team Chat enabled.
Start {{aiName}} loop is unavailable Enable AI chat and create at least one routine to select.
Automation did not fire Check the rule is active, Applies to includes the list, and Only when conditions match the event.
Common questions
Which task triggers are supported?
Completed, created, status changed, assignee changed, due date changed, priority changed, moved to list, and custom field changed.
Which workspace events can trigger rules?
Leave approved, check-in submitted, meeting created, wiki page published, BD log entry, and market scan finished.
Can one rule perform multiple actions?
Yes. Add more than one action before you create the automation.
